We are working on behalf of a prestigous school seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Head of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL), specialising in Spanish and French, to join a thriving and supportive school community. The successful candidate will lead the MFL department and inspire a love of languages in girls from Years 3-8. The role includes teaching languages to all year groups, with a particular emphasis on preparing students for Common Entrance and Scholarship exams at 13+.

Lead the MFL department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning in both Spanish and French.
Teach Spanish and French across Years 3-8, following the National Curriculum and adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
Prepare students for Common Entrance (13+) and Scholarship exams, ensuring excellent outcomes.
Foster a love of language learning and develop cultural awareness through engaging and creative lessons.
Develop and maintain schemes of work, assessment strategies, and extracurricular activities related to languages.
Manage and support the professional development of language teaching staff, ensuring ongoing improvements in the department.Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong academic background in Spanish and French.
Proven experience in teaching Spanish and French to primary or prep school-aged pupils, including preparation for Common Entrance and Scholarship.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a small team of language teachers.
Passionate about fostering a positive and engaging environment for learning languages.
Experience teaching in an independent school setting.
