Bruin have partnered with a highly-regarded international Development Finance Institution to hire an Investment Manager in their London office.

Our client has built a strong track record building and growing credit/ investment facilities focused on emerging markets infrastructure development. They currently manage three high-performing credit arms across the UK, Kenya and Singapore, and as the business continues to grow and expand, they are looking for an Investment Manager who will be involved in sourcing, evaluation, and execution of new credit facility investments in frontier markets across Africa and Asia. The position reports directly to the Head of the team and plays a key part in the development and implementation of the new credit facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential Credit Facilities projects/ investments in the emerging markets.
  • Take responsibility for due diligence, structuring, negotiation and execution of investment agreements.
  • Produce investment memos for Credit Facilities and present them to the stakeholders as a part of the investment process.
  • Contribute to the development of business plans for Credit Facilities.
  • Develop marketing materials for stakeholders and present investment proposals.

Key Requirements:

  • Be currently sitting at the Associate or Junior VP level within an investment or advisory team of a highly-regarded financial institution.
  • Demonstrate proven track record in evaluating and executing early-stage or mature investments focused on financial institutions or credit institutions.
  • Bring relevant experience working with credit products, financing or guarantees.
  • Hold Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Sciences, Economics or similar.
  • Show strong interest in emerging markets, particularly in Asia and Africa.
  • Be a highly proactive self-starter.
  • Be eager to join a dynamic and entrepreneurial team within a well-established global organization.
