You will be responsible for building and maintaining our product offer from concept through to delivery, ensuring that everything we produce feels unmistakably Claude and Co. The Role This is a pivotal role in our growing business, reporting directly to the Founder. You will play a key part in developing and refining our collections and managing the full buying and sourcing process. You balance creativity, quality, and commercial success. You'll be responsible for Product development and buying Own the product journey from concept to delivery, driving the critical path alongside our merchandiser. You ensure timelines are met and quality is never compromised. More collections, more product areas, more ownership, and new ideas. You take it on and figure it out with clear teamwork and communication. Translate creative direction and trend insight into product ranges that feel aligned with our brand handwriting and customer. Manage the approval process across all product stages. Samples and development with our design team, fit with our garment tech and factories, fabric, trims, lab dips, and final sign offs. You are across every stage. We will be hiring for an assistant buyer in early 2026 to support the role, but for now you are happy to do the doing, take action on feedback, and direct the supply chain. Sourcing and supplier management Build and maintain excellent supplier relationships based on collaboration, trust, and shared values. Source and develop new supply bases, exploring new manufacturing partners aligned with Claude's commitment to quality and ethical production. Negotiate costings, margin targets, and terms with clarity and fairness. Every decision reflects both business needs and brand priorities. Team leadership and collaboration Manage and mentor our junior team members, guiding them through the product cycle and ensuring buying and design are aligned. Collaborate closely with design, merchandising, and wholesale teams, ensuring everyone is informed and inspired by collection direction and execution. Contribute to photoshoot briefs and outfit styling, support wholesale with VM and range guidance, attend key selling meetings, and help bring the collection to life in the Claude store. Planning and process Maintain and manage the critical path with precision, tracking progress, flagging risks, and ensuring smooth delivery across launches. Analyse product performance and use data to inform planning. You check in consistently, maximise what performs, and evolve what does not. Support new concepts, capsule launches, and collaborations from idea to finished garment. About You You have several years experience in fashion buying, clothing product development. Apparel, childrenswear, or lifestyle experience is ideal. You are detail oriented and thrive on organisation, systems, process and structure without losing creativity. You have an exceptional eye for product and trend. You are commercially sharp and confident with costings, margins, and negotiations. You are proactive, solution focused, and happy being hands on. You communicate clearly and collaborate well under pressure. You lead by example and feel excited about shaping the next stage of our product journey. You care deeply about quality and craftsmanship. Full time Monday to Friday 9-5pm office based. Part time Monday to Thursday considered. A Note on Experience A degree is helpful but not essential.
