Thank you for your interest in our Pool Lifeguard position at West Gate School.

West Gate School is an over-subscribed special setting for 4 – 19-year-olds. We cater for children and young people with a wide range of learning difficulties, special needs, and disabilities.

We warmly welcome applications from motivated individuals to join our committed and enthusiastic team.

Supporting swimming and therapy sessions for a variety of group participants by acting as the Pool Lifeguard. Essential skills include holding a current and relevant lifesaving qualification, for example the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or similar.

The primary role is to carry out the duties of Lifeguard on the pool in accordance with the instructions contained in the school’s Normal Operating Procedures [NOP] and Emergency Action Plan [EAP]. This includes working under instruction during an emergency.

Hours: 25 hours per week, 09:15 to 15:00 and half hour for lunch (unpaid)
