Team Manager/Fire Engineer

Ark Workplace Risk has deep expertise in the end-of-construction phase and the built environment. We are a recognized leader in Fire, Health and Safety, and Building Safety Assurance services, catering to the private property sector and low to medium risk organizations. Our clientele includes Developers, Investors, Property Owners, and Property Managers, for whom we provide innovative Building Safety Assurance services. Established in 1994, Ark is a mid-sized, multi-disciplinary consulting firm that specializes in operational risk, compliance, and safety solutions, serving over 500 prestigious and diverse clients.

About the Role

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced qualified Fire Engineer to lead a team of fire specialists in the built environment and contribute to the company's objectives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for career advancement and growth within the industry, with potential development into a Senior Manager role as Ark expands. Responsibilities will include:

  1. Recruiting, managing, and developing a team of fire engineers and risk consultants
  2. Directly handling fire specialist assignments, including retrospective fire strategies and safety case reviews
  3. Providing technical advice, overseeing project work quality, and evaluating opportunities for service enhancement
  4. Supporting client-facing teams, conducting technical interviews, and overseeing department budget
  5. Developing methods for consistent quality work and keeping abreast of industry developments
Experience and Qualifications

Requirements for this role include:

  • Degree or professional diploma in fire safety engineering or equivalent
  • Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers
  • Significant experience in fire engineering solutions for residential and commercial buildings
  • Expertise in construction principles, fire risk assessments, and fire safety legislation
  • Proven team management and project delivery experience
