Are you a passionate and talented Project Manager?

We’re looking for a motivated and proactive project manager, with a passion for delivering outstanding service, to join our expanding Engineering team.

The specific purpose of this role is to:

Lead and manage successful delivery of a number of major projects.
Ensure customer needs are clearly captured, understood, and effectively built into project proposals.
Liaise with engineering team/ team leaders to ensure effective use of resources in delivering project quality, cost & delivery within project scope.
Manage any changes to project scope via Grinsty Rail “Change Request” process.
Act as champion for project management processes, tools & techniques

Communication

Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills are required for the role; able to demonstrate a high standard presentation skill.
A desire to support colleagues and transfer knowledge in area of expertise to others in the department, and also to wider Grinsty Rail colleagues.
Able to support senior colleagues with customer and internal partner liaison in collaborative projects, able to lead technical liaison with customers (both technical and non-technical customers) during project to ensure delivery.

What you need

Proven Project Management Acumen
Proven delivery of projects
Experience of Microsoft project management tools including MS Project and Excel
Numerate with a strong focus on financial management.

A strong leader with significant experience in a busy project based/professional service environment.
Experience and a working understanding of delivering projects in an engineering/professional service environment.
An organised yet flexible approach with the ability to influence/deliver through others.
A natural investigatory nature with strong analytical skills
Results driven self-starter with a positive CAN-DO approach focusing on solutions rather than problems.
Acting responsibly, putting Grinsty Rail interests ahead of personal ambition.
Providing inspirational leadership to all who come in contact with you.
Delivering in the broadest sense a great working environment.
Leading with humility, honesty, and integrity in all that you do.
Promoting teamwork, supporting through difficult times and collectively celebrating our successes.
Committed to work collaboratively and network effectively, able to recognise the contribution of others and team-work with a Grinsty Rail mind-set.
Pragmatic hands-on experience, providing problem solving approach and who is willing to physically participate in completion of work when required.
Self-motivated and a self-starter, with the ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality expectations, both within a team, or independently.
Experience working where subsequent adherence to associated process and policy is critical to maintain customer confidentiality.
