For International Medical Graduates we will supportyou to get Section 12 and Approved Clinician status and also in the longer termvia CESR we will support you to become substantive consultants on the GMCspecialist register. For consultants there is the chance to pursue yourown interests, so if they lie in R&D, QI, or management & leadershipwell support you.
In 2021 Berkshire Healthcare was 4th out of the48 community and mental health trusts for the number of research projects werecruited to. Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust(BHFT) was formed in April 2001 and successfully became licensed as aFoundation Trust in May 2007. In April 2011 the community serviceswhich were previously the provider arms of NHS Berkshire East and NHS BerkshireWest PCTs merged with the Trust.
Berkshireis characterised by concentrations of population and large rural areas. It includes some of the most affluent andleast deprived communities in the country, but also has pockets of markedlydeprived wards. The Trust is part of two IntegratedCare Systems (Frimley ICS and Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire & Berkshire WestICS) and partners with six local unitary authorities.

Has worked in a senior non-consultant level post in acute adult psychiatry, within an inpatient and/or community setting
Application of evidence-based practice and interest in clinical and policy developments for this care group
Development of services within inpatient settings
Section 12 (Mental Health Act) Approved or eligible
Higher degree or equivalent in relevant field of medical, psychological or other studies
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
