Job Summary:

Tessonics Inc. produces Ultrasonic Testing Equipment for both the Industrial and Medical sectors. The candidate will need to be detail-oriented and patient to perform their work of assembling, testing, repairing and installing ultrasonic cables in Tessonics' products.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assembly of ultrasonic transducers using multi-stage process including:
    1. Testing piezo-electric materials
    2. Preparation of high accuracy proportion mixtures of epoxy, metal powders and other components
    3. Filling specially prepared molds with mixture and baking in the oven
    4. Soldering cables and tiny components
    5. Testing of components at different stages of assembly and final testing
    6. Integration of the transducer into different kinds of housing and fixture for commercial application in industrial and clinical environments
    7. Quality test of assembled ultrasonic probes before sending to end user
    8. Assembly of electronic devices from components ordered from third-party suppliers
    9. Install, terminate, and test ultrasonic cables for core product line
    10. Troubleshoot and repair cable faults and issues
    11. Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs, upgrades and work
    12. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with electrical equipment
Requirements:
  • Assembling simple electronic and electric devices
  • Excellent eyesight (naturally or with corrective lenses)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capable of performing repetitive tasks
  • Patience
  • Excellent hygienic practices
  • Familiarity with the use and operation of a multimeter
  • Knowledge of basics of electric/electronic devices
  • A general mechanical aptitude and ability to use common hand and power tools i.e. Screwdriver, ratchet set, tap and tie set, drill press, bandsaw
  • Basic experience with solid/CAD modelling and 3D printing of enclosures, jigs, etc.
  • Ability to create technical documentation for products and a habit of documenting own work
  • Electronics prototyping abilities including fine pitch soldering and familiarity with basic electronics lab equipment: Power supply, Oscilloscope, Function Generator, etc.
  • Competency using basic office productivity software, i.e. Word, Excel or open source equivalents
  • General knowledge of Windows administration, driver installation, troubleshooting, networking, etc.
  • Familiarity with low voltage systems and electrical wiring
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members

The candidate is expected to be handy and feel comfortable while operating with small objects and soldering them as a routine everyday process. The candidate's responsibilities will include the above mentioned items involving all stages of transducer assembly and testing.

The final product will be installed into either bio-medical or industrial systems for subsequent use in non-invasive or non-destructive testing.
