Material Stock Controller

Alma Personnel have been in instructed by their trusted long term client to recruit for an experienced Material Controller to be based out of their site on Coventry.
The role of Material Controller is key to the success of the business, providing leadership, direction and clear focus on planning, production, control and shipping and receiving materials control functions, ensuring the right material arrives on time every time, whilst ensuring inventory levels are kept to a minimum in line with set targets.
Take the necessary action when it comes to shortage and materials at risk reports on a daily basis.
~ Replenish materials pulling in kit as and when required and feed back to Logistics Manager
~ Provide assistance to purchasing to implement inventory improvement policies
~ Control level of inventory, sequencing/improved packaging etc.
~ Work in conjunction with the transport coordinator at arrange transport as and when needed
~ Carry out inventory checks on high value and critical components ensuring continuity of supply
~ Work closely with key suppliers to manage stock risks and monitor lead times
~ Engage with departments in Engineering, Projects, Quality and Production to ensure zero obsolescence
~Good project management skills, including the ability to produce and work to set timing plans. Salary being offered is upto £33K depending on experience plus a host of excellent company benefits.
