Senior Systems Engineer - Verification& Validation

Set up in 2011, Synoptix is rapidly becoming recognised as one of the UK's most capable suppliers of systems engineering expertise and know-how. We have built up an enviable customer base in defence and aerospace, and now looking to capitalise on that by continuing to expand on our current portfolio.

We contribute to some of the foremost engineering projects in the UK, typically supporting large and complex engineering programmes through the application of systems engineering principles. Some of our key projects include support to various submarine programmes, adaptive camouflage for the British Army, Architectural support on Typhoon and F-35 platforms, cyber security support to EW systems. Our customers benefit from lean delivery of agile projects, utilising best practices developed across a range of industries.

The Role

Having taken on some exciting new customers and projects of late, we are looking to enhance our internal capabilities in order to meet growing demand from our customer base. As such, it is an exciting time to join a rapidly growing company and would allow the opportunity to have a meaningful influence on the direction of Synoptix as well as your own career.

This is a unique opportunity to help build and progress key relationships across the defence landscape whilst supporting complex systems engineering projects from a technical standpoint.

As a Senior Systems Engineer at Synoptix you will be helping guide the scope and direction of the engineering projects you are working on. As an agile business in the true sense the role will be given the relative freedom to take ownership at the strategic level of the project. This involves talking to the external stakeholders at a high level within the customer organisation and feeding back to the business within engineering management meetings etc. In this role you will gain vital experience to help push your career to the next level, while receiving support from the wider business in order to achieve your medium - long term career goals.

Our Requirement:

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer with ideally a 2:1 degree in a relevant discipline.
You should have successfully delivered a number of projects and played a key or lead role in at least one of them.
You must be organised, hardworking, and have good communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and be open to new ideas and ways of working.
We are interested in any experience of the following skills but they are not essential for you to apply:

Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements management, architecture design, and system integration.
Experience developing and executing V&V plans, test cases, and procedures for complex systems and software solutions.
Proficiency in using V&V tools and methodologies, such as DOORS, SysML, and MIL-STD-810.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
