This Challenger Bank are looking for a Data Science and Analytics Leader to drive data-driven decisions across their organisation. Your role involves providing actionable insights to departments such as product development, marketing, and customer service, ensuring our actions are informed and impactful.
Responsibilities:

You'll enforce data governance and adherence to GDPR and PSD2 standards, safeguarding data integrity, privacy, and security.
Manage and develop our data infrastructure to be scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient.
Design a modern data management stack supporting a self-service data analytics model across all company functions for quick, informed decision-making.
Integrate AI and machine learning to enhance customer experiences and operational efficiencies, managing the full data lifecycle from collection to quality control.
Stay updated with data science trends and guide strategic adjustments.
Communicate data's importance to executives and staff, and lead the expansion of our data engineering team.
Establish a cross-functional data guild and become the go-to expert for data management.

Requirements:

Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
Professional Experience: Extensive data science, analytics, or engineering experience, particularly in leadership roles and the banking or financial services sector.
Technical Proficiency: Expertise in data analytics frameworks, machine learning, AI, and scalable data infrastructure design.
Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of data protection laws, including GDPR and PSD2.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead data engineering teams and manage cross-functional projects.
Strategic Thinking: Strong planning and execution skills, aligning strategies with business goals.
