As a Class 1 LGV Driver for our Transport Department, you will be responsible for executing bulk collections and deliveries between various DPD sites and customers nationwide. Operating and maintaining a modern fleet of vehicles in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
Adhering strictly to agreed shift patterns to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
Executing deliveries to HGV-friendly locations with precision and care.
Conducting thorough pre-trip inspections of vehicles to guarantee roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations.
Continuously updating knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in LGV operations.
Participating in mandatory training sessions to enhance skills and maintain necessary certifications.
This role demands a high degree of responsibility, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence in all aspects of LGV operations.
A valid UK Class 1 Driving Licence
A minimum of 12 months Class 1 experience
A valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
Demonstrated ability to load and unload trailers as required
A thorough understanding of road safety regulations and LGV operations
