Job Description
As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for:
- Manage all vendor correspondence via phone or email
- Prepare and review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Prepare, process and send accounts payable cheques
- Identify and implement improvements to the payment process
- Reconcile monthly statements and related transactions
- Assist in month end closing
- Maintain files and documentation in accordance with company policy
- Analyse and resolve payment discrepancies
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:
- Proven working experience in the Accounting & Finance field
- Strong understanding of accounts payable
- Proficiency in MS Office and data entry
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
