As an experienced Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing bids for residential and commercial new-build projects valued up to £50M. This position requires a solid understanding of the construction process and a proven ability to contribute to successful project bids. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners, ensuring accurate, competitive, and high-quality tender proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review tenders and prepare responses throughout the tender cycle.
  • Follow agreed action plans and timelines with the team.
  • Analyze tender documents, including contract conditions, before submitting bids.
  • Collaborate with internal design and construction teams and external supply chain partners.
  • Develop robust tender proposals, including:
  • Design/scope solutions.
  • Quantity schedules.
  • Logistics and construction methodologies.
  • Tender programs and cost build-ups.
  • Risk and opportunity analysis.
  • Quotations.
  • Conduct pre-submission tender adjudication meetings.
  • Submit tenders and manage negotiations with clients.
  • Facilitate handover meetings for project teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency with Revit for Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • A strong desire to deliver high-quality, design-focused bids.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Logical thinking with the ability to process and analyze information.
  • Commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated, with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Familiarity with construction documents, drawings, programs, and regulations.
  • Understanding of design implications and practical construction applications.
