Reporting to the Managing Director, Sales, EMEA, the Director of Business Development EMEA is responsible for sales of all business lines including eDiscovery, Spectra, Advisory and Technology focused Document Review. What will this person do? Create and maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base. Generate revenue from new and existing customers to meet or exceed company goals. Accurately forecast business, customer, and market needs. Ensue high customer satisfaction through the account management function of the business development team. Attend trade shows, events, customer, and partner sites to assist in establishing executive-level, long-term customer and partner relationships for future cross-sell and up-selling opportunities. Contribute to managing the growth of the Business Development department to meet the company's long-term aspirations, in concert with the Managing Director, and maintaining a positive, high-energy, high-performance environment that facilitates the sales process, produces accurate forecasting, and encourages positive, results-oriented and collaborative teamwork. Act as a leader and mentor across the organization. Provide various reports and analyses as requested by the Managing Director. Build and drive an effective services business that emphasizes profitable growth, customer centricity, alliance partnership, accountability, and teamwork. Maintain direct accountability for the success of all relevant partnerships and engagements as judged by the following elements: client and channel partner satisfaction, project goal achievement, and development of long-term, successful client and partner relationships. Frame, design, and deliver winning proposals while shaping effective client solutions for clients. Communicate and demonstrate company values, business strategies, and objectives effectively. Build the Lighthouse brand by collaborating and building rapport with customers, partners, and employees, and enforcing ethical business practices. Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal teams. Develop long-term strategic partnerships in support of our key markets. Identify opportunities aggressively and continuously to grow sales; propose and develop incremental product and service strategies that anticipate rather than react to customer-driven demand and competitive initiatives. Demonstrated expertise in identifying opportunities to build revenue, grow market share, and create and maintain long-term customer and partner relationships. Outstanding individual track record achieving and exceeding sales goals, including complex, enterprise accounts. Demonstrated experience using sales analytics to ensure visibility of the pipeline to sales management for forecasting and business planning. Ability to think creatively and strategically. Strong attention to detail. Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated. Strong stature and presence. Must be highly credible both internally and with customers and business partners. Outstanding reputation within past industries. Significant experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals. BA/BS degree required, MBA or JD preferred. Experience selling to large European and FTSE 500 companies strongly preferred. Dynamic, hands-on sales professional with 7+ years of previous experience and a profitable sales pipeline and communicating current product lines to meet customer requirements. Work Environment and Physical Demands Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
