Our client is a prominent property-related organization in the South Tyneside area, focusing heavily on driving business transformation through technology. They are currently looking to appoint a Head of Enterprise Architecture. This role will proactively guide the leadership team, systems managers, product owners, and various distributed delivery teams through transformation and optimization initiatives. The Head of Enterprise Architecture will be responsible for designing, overseeing, and governing the implementation of all architectural principles and practices within the Group. Collaboration with stakeholders, analyzing long and short-term requirements, and ensuring the function aligns with best practices while being scalable and secure are key aspects of this role. Activities include helping the organization achieve targeted business outcomes related to service excellence, optimizing costs, mitigating risks, and improving sustainability. The focus will be on realizing the business strategy by tailoring the IT strategy and enterprise architecture of the organization.
Candidates should have considerable hands-on experience in in driving and delivering technological change at pace against a background of organizational transformation. They must be skilled at communication at a strategic level and play a key role in setting organizational objectives, influencing policy, and leading on technical and business change. Educational Background: Master's or bachelor's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or considerable equivalent experience.
# Certifications may include those from the Certified Enterprise Architect Professional (CEAP), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), and The Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
# Extensive relevant working experience in a similar role in a highly regulated and complex industry. Significant experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis or experience as an enterprise architecture consultant. Significant experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations in complex and multidisciplinary environments.

Understanding of (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics.
Knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, in addition to risk management.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools, related graphical models, and frameworks.
Insight into information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.
Understanding of various operating models, agile principles, methodologies, and frameworks designed to be scaled at the enterprise level.
Mastery of all components of enterprise architecture, business & IT principles, and processes.
Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills. Organizationally savvy, with situational and contextual intelligence of the enterprise and how to navigate obstacles and challenges.
