On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Technical Engineering Specialist based in the North UK, where you will be joining an international lubricants company. With their ambitious growth plans, they are looking for new team members who are up to the challenge of making our client a global leader of automotive lubricants, all while making an impact in the industry and communities in which they work.
THE ROLEThis is a customer-facing technical role providing first-class technical engineering and product support. This important position requires regular collaboration with our commercial sales team. As the leading provider of excellence in lubrication & lubrication services, they strive to become the first choice within the markets they serve. You will complement the current Central Technical Department which includes mechanical engineers, chemists, and application specialists. This role would involve working closely with the Industrial team comprising of Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Research & Development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProven experience can include the following: metalworking, oil and gas, sustainable energy, mineral extraction and processing, paper manufacture and food / beverage, which preferably, will have been in a ‘customer facing’ role. Additional commercial responsibility coupled with an understanding of lubrication management would be highly desirable. A demonstrated understanding of manufacturing practices, procedures, and engineering principles aligned to the maintenance of assets and equipment across many industry settings.
SKILLSExperience in Metal Working / Metal Working Fluids industry/Industrial Lubricants. Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to build and develop cross-functional relationships at all levels inside a customer; Strong communication, selling and presentation skills, but also analytical. Flexible mind; able to cope with different cultures. Preferably a network of contacts within the (metalworking) industry.
