TA Assistant

Prospero Teaching are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistants to inspire and support pupils in one of our excellent Primary Schools in Morpeth. The role is to start from after Easter and will involve working across EYFS-KS2 classes until the end of the Academic Year in July.

The role will involve working with pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour, so the successful candidate will need to be a resilient practitioner and have excellent relationship-building skills.

The school have both full-time and part-time roles available. For the right candidate, there is the strong possibility of the role becoming permanent. The role will involve supporting the pupils with their learning and communicating effectively with Class Teachers to ensure appropriate strategies are used that are suited to the individual needs and learning styles of the pupils to allow them to engage with their learning and make excellent progress.

Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and SEND on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
Building positive relationships with Class Teachers to support pupils and discuss/implement strategies and learning activities.
Supervising pupils at break times and lunch times as required.
Having a "hands on" approach to supporting the pupils in their learning, with a willingness to interact, engage and form a positive rapport with pupils.An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff.
High levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with pupils.
A genuine passion for helping young people to fulfil their potential and flourish in education.
