Stony Dean School are looking to recruit an SEN Teacher to work with our experienced and caring team. We are looking for a talented, kind, inspiring Teacher to work with our young people, who can deliver quality first teaching to a range of students including our Foundation, Climb and 6th Form provision, with a variety of learning needs.
The successful candidate will be driven to improve the outcomes for young people with SEND and will have experience of teaching, or be prepared to teach a mixture of ages and abilities. Please contact the school for an informal conversation about this role.

Stony Dean School is a school focused on delivering a provision to meet the range of pupils in our care. The curriculum has been designed to be delivered in subject areas whilst also meeting student outcomes from their Education Health Care Plan. Our curriculum, carefully designed by us for our students, focuses on our core priorities of achieving effective communication and interaction; - This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils with SEND. We are looking for a dynamic classroom practitioner with a clear sense of purpose, high expectations of all students and the ability to deploy a range of techniques and approaches to support the pupils in our care. You will need to have vision, a successful track record in teaching pupils across a wide ability range and the ability to work effectively with the whole school community.

You will be invited to attend regular training sessions and workshops run by highly experienced and qualified staff. This is an ideal opportunity to work in a friendly, supportive and well-resourced school. a) Excellent classroom practitioner with a wide range of teaching skills: knowledge and understanding of teaching SEN across a broad spectrum of abilities;
d) Ability to work collaboratively with and implement the advice of specialists working within the school (e.g. Speech and Language Therapists) in their own classroom.
