Skills required for the Job Grinder role.

Operating manual honing machines.

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Ability to check own work.

Surface and cylindrical grinding which includes external and internal grinding.

Grinding complex parts to tight tolerances

Information regarding manufacturing processes is accurately recorded, well maintained accurately updated.

The ability to maintain a tidy and safe environment to work.

Use inspection equipment to check work thoroughly.

Operating universal CNC grinding machines as well as universal manual machines.

Experience required:

Very good attention to detail.

Knowledge regarding J&S CNC grinding machines and Studer CNC grinding machines.

Aerospace industry would be beneficial however not required.

Experience working with engineering drawing and work to instructions for example job cards.

Ability to programme and understand Fanuc controls.

Level 3 engineering qualifications or equivalent (indentures accepted)
