Are looking to appoint an experienced and compassionate Welfare Officer, to join our dedicated and friendly partner school. The Welfare Officer, will deliver the best possible medical care for the pupils and staff on a daily basis. The Welfare Officer, role is varied and challenging post which would suit a Registered General Nurse who loves working with children and will have experience either within a school environment or working with young people. The Welfare Officer, will not only provide medical care, administering medication, but will also provide key support to residential and day staff to meet the needs of the students.

Welfare Officer, job summary:To provide first aid and emergency care to all members of the school community as and when necessary.To ensure individual care plans and treatment provided are developed and written for those pupils requiring them in consultation with the pupils themselves, parents, other medical professionals/providers, and school staff.To provide training and support to relevant staff regarding the care of pupils with identified medical or health needs.To take responsibility for the schools First Aid Policy and contribute to the H&S Policy and other policies where there is a health or medical input required.To administer medication to students within medical policies and procedures.
