Role : Paralegal
The NPI team has a very broad range of work with the professional, financial and management liability space, including but not limited to solicitors; IFAs, wealth-managers, pensions administrators and financial institutions; major insurance broking houses; The core of the team’s work is acting for professionals and their insurers in the defence of civil liability claims against them, as well as on regulatory/disciplinary matters and coverage.
In addition, as a Paralegal within our Professional Indemnity team, you will play a key role in supporting fee earners in the defence of complex and high-value claims against professionals across a range of sectors. Your responsibilities will include assisting with case preparation, drafting correspondence, reviewing documentation, conducting legal research, and liaising with clients, counsel, and experts. This role would be well suited to Paralegal / Senior Paralegal / Litigation Executive with previous experience in undertaking collateral warranty reviews and defending claims brought against surveyors, solicitors, construction professionals and or emerging professionals.
Strong academic background in law, with a clear understanding of insurance policies, civil procedure and dispute resolution principles.
Demonstrated ability to review, analyse and summarise large volumes of legal and factual material with accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong legal research skills, including use of online databases and case law resources.
Sound judgment and commercial awareness in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
