Tax Manager temp to perm

In this newly created Tax Manager role, the successful candidate will work closely with the Tax Director to grow and develop the firm's tax services, with a focus on advisory work for new and existing clients. The Tax Director will be looking to build a strong relationship, discussing marketing strategies and consulting on tax planning projects. The role will also involve some hands-on compliance work for new clients, with the Tax Manager taking responsibility for the client relationship from the outset and with the support of the rest of the tax team.
A broad and deep knowledge of personal taxes, including capital gains tax and inheritance tax is a prerequisite for the role. A good working knowledge of trust taxation, corporation tax and SDLT would be a distinct advantage, but is certainly not essential.
As a Tax Manager, you will be expected to be self-motivated and able to deliver work to a high standard within deadlines, taking responsibility for managing your own workload.
As well as a competitive salary commensurate with your experience, this position offers the successful individual an excellent opportunity to join a growing rural practice where they will be given every opportunity to expand their experience and ability, and work on their own initiative to move the tax department forward.
