Interim Head of Finance & Resources

London Learning Consortium (LLC) is a Prime Post 16 skills provider based in London. LLC is an established business of over 13 years with a Grade 2 Ofsted (Dec 2023). LLC and its community partners deliver a range of adult and young people’s programmes across the Capital and down to the City of Brighton & Hove.

LLC are seeking to appoint an ambitious and highly motivated individual on an interim basis to offer financial support in the absence of the Finance Director.

The interim responsibilities will include managing the cashflow and monitoring all internal and external payments across all three LLC sites.

  • Working Pattern: 2 - 3 days per week
  • Hours: 14 – 21 hours per week
  • Location : LLC Croydon office
  • Hourly Rate: £30 - 40 DOE

Essential Criteria:

  • Educated to degree standard e.g. Business or Accounting degree or Master's in Business Administration
  • CIMA / ACCA /CPA preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Senior Management role ideally with both external audit and in-house financial management experience gained in a high-growth service delivery organization
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficient user of IT including MS Office 365
  • Experience of liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience of Government funding audit and compliance processes.

Key Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge of ESFA and EFA funding methodology, contract performance and its application to subcontracted provision.
  • Extensive knowledge of SFA and EFA audit and compliance requirements
