We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Composite Design Engineer: within the assigned group, they are responsible for design of F1 car composite parts, from the studies of layout installations to the patterns. They enhance the development of more efficient design processes and mentorship of less experienced designers.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the composite design team.
COMPOSITE DESIGN Lead the composite design process, from conceptualization to detailed design, ensuring the integration of innovative and high-performance solutions. Utilize their expertise to contribute to the development of lightweight, durable, and aerodynamically efficient composite components. Responsible for (if required) the final sign off on the design release within their group. INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL COLLABORATION Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including aerodynamics, concept, and other engineering disciplines, to integrate composite design seamlessly into the overall car design. Work closely with the Composite Design Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader to ensure alignment with project goals and deadlines. INNOVATION AND PROFESSIONALISM Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the composite design team. Stay at the forefront of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and industry advancements. Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the projects.
University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace engineering or a related field.
Extensive experience in composite design, particularly in high-performance automotive or motorsports industries.
In-depth knowledge of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and structural analysis.
Proficiency in relevant software tools such as CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar.
Flexible and can do attitude.
Travel 10-20%
