SEMH TA Secondary Location: Chesterfield Salary: £75 - £100 per day Contract: Full Time Start: ASAP GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school team in Chesterfield. This position involves supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Job Summary: Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs. Work collaboratively with teachers to implement effective strategies for inclusion. Support the emotional and academic development of students. Responsibilities: Implement individual support plans. Manage challenging behavior positively and effectively. Foster a nurturing and supportive learning environment. Qualifications: Experience working with SEMH or similar needs is essential. Strong understanding of the strategies needed to manage challenging behaviors and promote positive outcomes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
