Job Description:

For a leading EnergyTech company developing climate-neutral, decentralized energy sources and storage solutions, we are hiring Nuclear Physicists to join its team of world-class scientists on site in Austria. Full visa sponsorship and relocation support offered

Role & Responsibilities:
  1. Setup, development, and work with expert systems and databases (ENDF, JENDL, JEFF, TENDL, etc.) for the simulation of nuclear physical processes;
  2. Development and integration of nuclear measurement technology (simulation, prototype construction, and operation);
  3. Continuous support and supervision of the project;
  4. Creation and documentation of all specifications in cooperation with national and international development partners;
  5. An important internal interface to the areas of mechanical engineering and physics.
Requirements:
  1. Willingness to relocate to Austria (Europe)
  2. Completed technical education (at least a Master's degree) with a focus on nuclear physics;
  3. Understanding of mechatronic processes and automation;
  4. Experience with nuclear physical facilities (research reactors, neutron sources, particle accelerators, particle detectors, etc.);
  5. Knowledge in the physical simulation of nuclear physical processes (Monte Carlo codes, transport equation, cross-sections, etc.);
  6. Willingness to travel to national and international partners;
  7. English language skills in speech and writing are required;
  8. Willingness to learn German once on-site
Relevant Software Knowledge:

Operating systems: Microsoft, Linux
Simulation: Matlab/Simulink, OpenModelica, Python, Matcad, FEM/CFD (Comsol, Ansys, etc.)
