We are seeking a dedicated Sociology Teacher to join this fantastic school team and contribute to their ethos of providing high-quality education and promoting the welfare of our students. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging physics lessons and fostering a positive learning environment. This is a one term temporary role for the Autumn Term 2024.
Monitor and assess student achievement, setting and marking homework in line with school policy.
Maintain high standards in record-keeping, making data available for review by Senior Managers and Heads of Department.
Mark and return students’ work with constructive feedback, promoting high standards of content and presentation.
Support and collaborate with colleagues, contributing to professional development and curriculum area reviews.
Attend staff meetings, INSET activities, and support whole school events.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Sociology or a related subject.
Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding students’ welfare.
Experience in planning, delivering, and assessing physics lessons.
Ability to differentiate materials and teaching methods to cater to diverse learning needs.
Proficiency in using educational technology and school management systems, such as SIMS.
A proactive approach to professional development and contributing to the wider school community.
