Role description

Within the bank and more specifically Global Technology, Employee Experience Technology is a core team that ensures that the banks employees have the technology and IT solutions to support their day-to-day activities.

The Collaboration & Productivity (CaP) team provide many of these essential solutions and experiences, including the Productivity applications e.g. Microsoft 365 Teams, OneDrive, Exchange, SharePoint and other critical products and services for our employees.

The Integrated Test & Release Strategy team is a horizontal team that works across all Productivity technologies to provide and drive consistent testing & release practices whilst ensuring compliance to enterprise policy and standards and additionally supports the organisation’s adoption of Global Technology’s target operating model on our journey to an agile system design lifecycle (SDLC) framework.

This role is responsible for optimizing the flow of epics/features and the value delivered by a Product Delivery Team (PDT) and is focused on serving the needs of the team to drive performance and growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coaching the wider organisation on Jira and Agile best practice to support consistent adoption.
  • Coordinating and facilitating release & EPIC definition/refinement routines
  • Help identify gaps and define/refine our workflows and processes.
  • Managing dependencies across teams in the release cycle
  • Providing visibility into the health of epic/feature delivery and the overall program increment
  • Own the Microsoft 365 Message Center review and follow-up routines which feed the SDLC.
  • Produce reporting on delivery and compliance with Jira standards.
  • Drive consistency in the data being recorded in Jira Issue types at a Team level & EPICs at the PDT level to elevate the quality of information and requirements provided to Engineering Teams
  • Holding Product Management to account for compliance to the Microsoft Design Change Request and requirement ratification process

Experience required:

  • Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework & Jira
  • Understands the roles and responsibilities of other teams who participate in the system design lifecycle and engages as required.
  • Can understand and complete the artifacts needed for governance forums; Collects feedback from customers and stakeholders to measure the effectiveness of stakeholder management.
  • Identifies risk/dependencies and quantifies the impact it has on the business/technology and what controls are to be used to resolve.
  • Ability to track project/value stream variances to ensure work aligns with project/value stream objectives.
  • Facilitates program/portfolio level planning ceremonies against backlog/prioritized work. Manages risk/dependencies/impediments. Ability to answer program/portfolio level Agile/waterfall framework questions.
  • Uses a combination of factual and emotional points to exert influence. Receives agreement to ideas by identifying and working collaboratively with specific stakeholders and senior managers.
  • Facilitates collaboration within and across teams. Go-to person for consultation from others.
  • Can set clear KPI's for teams to follow.
