Group Head of Sales

Responsibilities Optimise by Recruitment are working with a rapidly growing UK manufacturing business on an exciting trajectory. With a strong foundation and innovative products, they are poised for significant expansion. Operating primarily in the B2B space, they are seeking a talented Group Head of Sales to spearhead this ambitious growth. As the Group Head of Sales you will be responsible for leading and motivating the sales team to achieve exceptional results. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead the sales team to exceed targets and drive revenue growth from £5M to £25M annually within 3-5 years.
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of sales representatives, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure sales performance meets KPIs and targets.
- Champion adherence to sales processes, CRM system management, and reporting for accurate forecasting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, production, and finance to ensure a seamless customer experience and uphold quality standards.
Experience
- Proven track record exceeding B2B sales targets.
- Minimum 5 years in sales leadership.
- Expertise in sales methodologies and strategic planning.
- Strong communication, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Experience scaling high-performing sales teams.
- Proficient in forecasting and data analysis.
- Deep understanding of B2B sales cycle and lead qualification.
- Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Passion for manufacturing and industry knowledge (desirable).
