Part Time (22hrs per week) – Hybrid Working 1 day per week Office Attendance
Rate: £50 umbrella per hour
Venn Group’s specialist public sector legal team are in partnership with a Local Authority in Greater London to recruit an Adult Social Care Lawyer on a part time basis to help with an increase in workload
The role of Adult Social Care Lawyer is offered on a 3 month basis but owing to the nature is looking to extend on a rolling basis thereafter. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Adult Social Care Lawyer to establish themselves within a fledgling legal team and become integral to the Council
The ideal candidate for this role will be a Qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a proven tack record of successfully managing Adult Social Care legal matters within Local Government
Provide comprehensive legal services, covering both contentious and non-contentious matters
# Offer expert advice on legal matters, responding proactively to potential judicial review threats
# Handle applications in the Court of Protection and County Court displacement proceedings, ensuring legal accuracy and compliance
# Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings and statements, addressing diverse issues within social care functions
# Advise officers on service development, ensuring lawful implementation of changes in service delivery, with a focus on compliance with the public sector equality duty
