Mechanical Design Engineer

Permanent, full-time

Hours: 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

depending on experience

My client is a market leader within the specialist engineering manufacturing industry. They are looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer. You will provide draughting and technical documentation support to both production and product maintenance departments. This is a great opportunity to develop a career with a highly successful company.

Assisting the engineering department in preparation of design layouts and detailed drawings.
Assisting in the preparation of works procedures for the building, production and testing of products.
Assisting other members of the Engineering department in matters relating to product development, value engineering and real time solving of production problems.
Assisting in the real time analysis of rejected components.
Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in a manufacturing business is preferred.
Recognised engineering qualification e.g., Proficient with SolidWorks.
Previous experience working with workshop engineering staff to rectify manufacturing problems is preferred.
