As a Regional Business Change Manager within NHS England's Federated Data Platform (FDP) team, you are tasked with driving and managing critical business change initiatives across the region. You will ensure that Trusts effectively implement our Federated Data Platform, aligning with NHS strategic goals and enhancing service delivery.
Full-Time Hours: Full-time role with a standard workweek of 37.Permanent Post: Become an integral part of our team on a permanent basis.
Hybrid Work Schedule: Benefit from our hybrid work model, combining the flexibility of remote work with regular client-facing trips within the southern region and to our London Waterloo head office for team meetings.
Reporting Line: You'll report directly to the Head of Business Change, providing regular updates and strategic insights on your region’s progress.
The NHS is known for its creative and innovative approach to healthcare, improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency. However, expanding these advancements presents a significant challenge. To help healthcare institutions make the most of their data, the NHS is investing in a Federated Data Platform. This means that every hospital trust and integrated care system (ICS) will have the data they need to identify trends and tackle challenges, using technology to provide patients with better services, shorter waiting times, and faster treatments.

Essential Business Change Expertise:
Demonstrable experience in leading business change within complex environments, particularly within the healthcare sector. Change Management Skills: Expertise in implementing structured change management practices, tools, and techniques. Ability to clarify priorities during change, manage risks, issues, changes, and interdependencies effectively.
Hands-on experience in executing change management deliverables with the flexibility and adaptability to work to short deadlines on high-priority items at pace. Strong track record in delivering change management outcomes and possessing deep knowledge of change management processes.
Demonstrated ability to introduce and implement business changes effectively to a large number of end users, with a capability to simplify and clarify complex requirements.
Lead Business Change Initiatives: You will be pivotal in setting up and managing a Change Network for Trusts in your region, acting as the single point of contact for Trust resources undertaking business change roles.
Strategic Implementation: Oversee the smooth delivery of business change activities, working closely with internal Trust teams to ensure all roles are executing their business change responsibilities effectively.
Communication and Relationship Building: Forge and nurture relationships with high-level stakeholders, ensuring clear and persuasive communication across all levels of NHS staff and other stakeholders about complex and sometimes contentious program and implementation issues.
Educational Background: Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Business Change or a related field.
Project Management Expertise: Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies, demonstrated by proficiency in tools such as MS Project.
NHS Experience: Either clinical experience or a deep understanding of NHS culture and language, ideally specific to the region. Change Management Proficiency: Proven leadership in change management, capable of hands-on execution and strategic oversight of change initiatives. Strong ability to communicate and implement business changes across a broad spectrum of end users, effectively simplifying and clarifying complex concepts to facilitate widespread adoption.
