You’ll have a chance to apply your academic training to genuine industry problems while completing modules that contribute towards your degree.
You'll gain in-depth experience within the department at a nuclear power plant. You’ll learn about systems vital to the smooth operation of Supply Chain, including safety protocols, technical governance, quality assurance, analysis, communication strategies, and IT systems. During your placement, you could be involved in projects that focus on improving safety through communication campaigns and training initiatives, developing advanced analytical methods to optimise performance or taking part in negotiating and preparing contractors for major projects and enhancing overall operations.

You’ll be based on site at Heysham 1 Power Station, within the Commercial Department.
We are looking for candidates who are on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain or Procurement. A questioning attitude, good teamwork, and effective communication skills are also essential qualities we seek.
