Senior Bridging Finance Underwriter
Reporting to Head of Underwriting
Salary: £100k total package inc Salary & Bonuses
Location: Mayfair, London
5 days in the office
Key Responsibilities:
-Evaluate and underwrite bridging finance loan applications, assessing the creditworthiness of borrowers and the viability of proposed transactions.
-Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, analysing financial statements, credit reports, and collateral valuations to make informed lending decisions.
-Collaborate with the sales team and borrowers to gather necessary documentation and information, ensuring a smooth and efficient underwriting process.
-Structure loan terms and conditions in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management guidelines.
-Provide recommendations on loan approvals, declines, or modifications based on thorough analysis and risk assessment.
-Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to present underwriting decisions and address any concerns or questions.
-Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices related to bridging finance underwriting.
-Mentor and provide guidance to junior underwriters, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Qualifications:
-2-3 years of underwriting experience.
-Strong analytical and communication skills.
-Proficiency in underwriting software and MS Office Suite.
-Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
