Are you an ambitious and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher looking for a fantastic opportunity to ignite the minds of students aged 11 to 16?

Career Teachers are seeking a qualified Teacher (QTS / QTLS) with experience of teaching triple science and combined science GCSE, for a secondary school based in East Birmingham. This is a full-time role to start September on a full-time, temporary basis. There is a potential that this role may become permanent. This position is suitable for an experienced or ECT Chemistry Teacher.

The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of teaching methods and lesson design, the ability to create optimal learning environments, and motivation to bring out the best in pupils. The school and Career Teachers are committed to promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

Working closely with colleagues to adapt teaching methods.
Motivate students through creative teaching.
Monitor academic progress and enforce behaviour rules.
Hold a relevant UK teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
Experience teaching Science at key stage 3 and 4, with a specialism in Chemistry
Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Career Teachers offer FREE online Safeguarding training
Provide a full 10-year career history and references to cover the last 2 years including current and previous employers.
