Full-time Nursery Manager

We have a lovely nursery near Dulwich who are looking for a Nursery Manager to join a dedicated and friendly team. Close to the train station and local bus routes, it is a spacious nursery with separate rooms and gardens for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers.
The children enjoy a varied and stimulating timetable from cooking with their Chef, to Zumba classes, to gardening and growing veg. They also love getting involved in the community and taking trips to the local attractions.
As the Nursery Manager, you will work with the Leadership Team to focus on the needs of the children and your team. You will also be responsible for the nursery finances, resources, quality of curriculum, Health and Safety, and partnerships with parents and the community.
No two days are the same, and you’ll still have the opportunity to be hands on, so it’s important that you have a passion for childcare and education. There are excellent facilities and a range of activities to engage the children including cooking, arts, construction, science experiments, nature trails and more. They also love to get out and about in the local community with trips to local attractions.

The Nursery Manager will provide professional leadership and management of the nursery
Effectively manage the day-to day running of the nursery, to deliver the highest standards of care and education for the children
Maintain and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
Work with the nursery team to develop their skills and make sure they feel happy, fulfilled and supported in their roles
Oversee the financial health of all areas of the nursery, budgeting, making financial plans, and keeping a close eye on expenses and incomeKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Recognised childcare qualification - Level 3 or above
Team leadership and strong relationship building skills, for working with colleagues, parents and carers, as well as outside stakeholders and suppliers
Experience of managing nursery setting finances and resources including budgeting and staff rota
Training and knowledge of safeguarding and first aid
