The role
The purpose of this dynamic role is to oversee the entire production process, from the arrival of raw materials to the completion of finished goods, all with the help of a skilled and motivated team. Safety, quality, productivity, cost-efficiency, timely delivery, and team morale are key factors which this role prioritizes and achieves. Located at our site in Burton Latimer, this role operates on a 24-hour shift pattern to ensure continuous production.
The Recipe for Success
To ensure all areas within your control are compliant with relevant legal, food safety, health and safety, environmental and people policies, procedures, objectives and regulations.
  • Responsible for KPI targets and results for the factory across the balanced scorecard and accountable for own teams
  • Direct line management for your allocated team providing leadership to achieve objectives through coaching
  • Responsible for the training and development of self and team ensuring the shift relevant skills and cover
  • Utilize resources and skills effectively to achieve outstanding results within budget constraints
  • Ensure delivery of production plan for the assigned shift, providing thorough and timely shift reports
  • Lead specific improvement projects during the shift, utilizing various tools and collaborative processes to drive continuous enhancements in manufacturing processes.
  • Encourage individuals and teams to continuously challenge and improve manufacturing processes
Requirements

  • Proven first class Team Management experience in a FMCG environment or similar, ideally working directly in manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of Business Improvement tools and techniques
  • IOSH managing safety or willing to work towards
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
  • Higher level academic qualification (A-Level, HNC or above in a business, manufacturing or engineering discipline) or willing to work towards
Nice to have:
  • Working knowledge of D365
  • L3 Food Safety and HACCP
