The Technical Support Engineer will provide technical support to the GB installed volume and sales team.

Servicing, maintenance and upgrading of installed and demonstration equipment.

* Supporting end users through the installation, commissioning and repair of a wide range of medical devices in designated hospitals and health care facilities.

* Configuration and interconnecting of devices across wired and wireless networks

* Providing technical support to sales team in preparing for and during demonstrations.

* Proactively manage customer relations with emphasis on communications and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The job will primarily be located at our Northampton premises, however the ability to travel countrywide on occasions is essential.

The range of equipment to be serviced includes, but is not be limited to Patient Physiological Monitors, Defibrillators, ECG Recorders, Cardiology management/information systems, Fetal Monitors and Obstetrics information management systems.

Carry out pre delivery inspection, installation, commissioning and customer familiarisation on designated equipment.

* Perform routine maintenance and repair of demonstration equipment.

* Populate and manage and annual servicing scheduler.

* Monitor Suppliers for Service Bulletins/FCO to applicable products.

* Liaising with Hospital IT & EBME Depts re installations and systems connectivity.

* Initiate and manage service contracts with service suppliers and customers.

* All work undertaken by engineer must be recorded appropriately and comply with the relevant Company Quality procedures.

* Liaise with Service Support administration and management on a regular basis, provide engineers reports and all relevant documentation required for further processing and invoicing.

Qualifications: RQF(NQF) level 5-6 (HND-Ordinary Bachelor Degree) in Electrical, Electronic Engineering, Biomedical engineering, Physics or a related discipline. Where above academic qualification is not available, but the candidate feels they have extensive relevant experience this may be taken into consideration in lieu of the qualification.

* The candidate will be comfortable working with IT systems and networks. Full driver’s license.

* Field based experience in medical device or other electronic equipment servicing would be an advantage.

Cardiac Services was founded in 1968. It is at the forefront of supplying and supporting diagnostic and measurement equipment in Ireland and the UK with specific focus on ICU, Coronary Care, Theatre and Maternity. The business comprises a number of Divisions with Therapeutics & Simulation Solutions supplying Hospitals, EMS, GPs, Universities and B2B with a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and supplies from ventilators, defibrillators, ECG machines, Training and Resuscitation equipment.

The Hospital Division is mainly focused on Patient Monitoring, Resuscitation and Cardiology, Surgical Scopes, Clinical Information Systems and Fetal monitoring with the business concentrated in the acute areas of Hospitals i.e., intensive care, operating departments, coronary care units, emergency departments, cardiology investigations, resuscitation, neonatal intensive care, and labour wards. The Service & Education Division provides a comprehensive equipment repair service as well as offering a range of training courses.

Cardiac Services is a business within the Medtech Division of Uniphar Group.
