Behaviour mentor needed for a SEMH school in Preston Location: Preston
Contract and start date: Temporary full time and ASAP
Minimum rate of pay: £100 a day (pay rate depending on experience and hours)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, term-time only
A Social Emotional Mental Health provision in Preston are looking for an experienced behaviour mentor to join their support staff. This school are seeking staff to support key stage 2 and 3 students who have social, emotional, mental health and behaviour associated needs. This school has a key focus on sport and therefore individuals with a sporting background will be desirable. As this is a relatively small school, they are keen to employ someone who can slot straight into their tight knit team. Provide opportunities to progress academically, socially and emotionally
Deal with any challenging or disruptive behaviour
Offer advice and support
Fully compliant in safeguarding policies and procedures
Experience working with special educational needs (Career or personal)
A passion for working within education
A positive, creative, and proactive approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
