SITE MANAGER START DATE ASAP LOCATION Abingdon HOURS 07:30 - 16:30 (Some Unsociable hours as the projects progresses) TYPE Temp to Perm DURATION 6 Months RATE OF PAY £280 - £320 / Day BRIEF LEGGWORK is working with a large Gloucester-based contractor to supply a Site Manager to work in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. We are looking for the correct candidate to start in the next 2-4 weeks and will be on this project for at least the duration. Based on performance a permanent position may be on offer. We need a candidate with proficient experience and have an M&E Bias. However good overall Construction Knowledge is also required. Interviews will be held at the Gloucester head office. WHAT WILL BE EXPECTED OF ME?

  • To utilise your experience and knowledge that you have built over time to help solve any minor issues that arise on site
  • Read and correctly Interpret drawings and plans in order to communicate a clear plan to Tradespeople and sub contractors
  • Have the ability to clearly explain tasks and instructions to other members of the team
  • Be able to motivate a team and keep morale high.
  • Able to oversee a team and keep on track with task deadlines
  • Liaise with the site manager regarding ordering materials
  • Other duties as required
  • Reliable, hard-working, and good attitude
WHAT WILL I NEED?
  • A healthy amount of experience in site management roles
  • A broad understanding of the various roles on site
  • An up-to-date and well-organised CV
  • Two recent work references
  • NVQ's and relevant qualifications within this field are desirable
  • Reliable plan to commute to work
  • Be available to interview at the start of the new year
  • SSSTS or SMSTS Ticket
