Principal Training Consultant
The AtkinsRéalis Training Services team is looking to hire a talented and experienced Principal Training Consultant. This is an exciting opportunity to manage the Training Services team and develop and shape the Training consultancy capability across our current and expanding markets.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced principal training consultant who can manage complex defence and safety-critical projects that include the research, analysis, design, delivery, and evaluation of training solutions. You will have a proven track record of managing a team and conducting and delivering all elements of Training Needs Analysis (TNA) where a Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process is employed. Specifically, you will have demonstrable experience of leading all aspects of TNAs in accordance with JSP 822 – Defence Systematic Approach to Training (DSAT).
However, candidates should note that the Training Services team is based in our Bristol office, close to our key clients, so the flexibility to travel will be essential.
Principal Consultants lead all aspects of client-facing training activity (commercial, delivery, advice, and assurance) across a range of MOD & safety-critical domains and are expected to manage regular interactions with clients. They will be able to demonstrate previous experience and practical application of applying training methodology and processes on some of the most challenging and complex training projects. They will also possess extensive stakeholder experience, understanding of analytical research techniques and the application of survey methodology. You will also have responsibility to guide, direct, mentor and support senior/junior consultants. Manage and author high quality analytical reports which comply with industry/MOD standards.
Manage/supervise the delivery of all elements of individual and collective Defence TNA projects using the DSAT process.
Demonstrates detailed knowledge of a SAT or ADDIE training methodology typically described by JSP 822.
Experienced in technically assuring / developing and implementing complex training programmes and strategies.
Development and assurance of training materials and support the development of technology enabled solutions.
Ability to lead senior consultants/consultants/associates/junior consultants on larger projects.
Project manage multiple training research, analysis, and design requirements.
Significant and effective stakeholder engagement skills to support clients with the implementation of competence management processes and systems.
Manage training evaluation and assessment activities.
Commercially astute and can lead technical input on training approach, methodology and costs in support ofproposals.
Thoroughunderstanding and demonstrable application of SAT/ADDIE policies and processes from Analysis to Evaluation.
Individual and Collective training consultancy experiencewithin UK Defence/Industry.
A working knowledge of Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) structures and responsibilitiesis desirable.
Strong analytical skills and experience of the production and quality/technical assurance of formal TNA outputs.
Experience of the design of training materials using a SAT-compliant methodology.
Knowledge and understanding of latest technology enhanced media to support the delivery of effective training.
