1:1 Teaching Assistant (Full Time)

This primary school, based in Yarm, are looking to appoint a passionate teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Y1 child with behavioral and support needs on a full time basis.

Working in this primary school as part of an established team, the desired teaching assistant will be working on a 1:1 in Y1 with a pupil with additional behavioural and support needs. This teaching assistant role is long term and potentially permanent.

Experience with SEND children would be essential to this role. A qualification of Level 3 or above in Supporting Children in Learning would also be preferred.

The school are looking for a committed and patient individual who is willing to support on a 1:1 basis, within a classroom environment but also separate unit when needed.

This position will commence in September and run until December at least, working 8:30am until 3:30pm Monday to Friday.

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

- Experience of working with primary school aged children in KS1

- Experience of working with pupils with SEND

- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
