Health and Safety Advisor – Civil Engineering/Construction

On behalf of our client, ITS Building People (Southampton) are searching for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor with a Civil Engineering or Construction background. This is the perfect role for an experienced health and safety professional, with relevant industry experience, who enjoys sharing their expertise and driving Health and Safety.
.Ensure strict compliance with relevant UK legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated regulations.
Perform regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and formulate strategies to mitigate risks.
Manage and supervise safety training for all contractors, ensuring their proper accreditations for on-site work.
Stay abreast of UK health and safety standards, ensuring staff compliance.
Develop, update, and communicate safety policies and procedures, ensuring comprehensive understanding and adherence by all employees/subcontractors.
Maintain accurate records of all safety-related activities, incidents, inspections, and training programs.
Minimum of 5 years of Health and Safety experience.
NEBOSH Certification.
In-depth knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislations and regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT.
Full UK driving license. Training/Progression opportunities:
