Content Marketing Specialist

Help deliver amazing experiences to SheCodes students.
SheCodes currently has a presence in 6 continents and in countless time zones, has had hundreds of thousands of students, and currently gets over 1 million website visitors per month. We are constantly working to expand our reach and deliver the best experience possible to each and every one of our customers. To do so, members of the SheCodes team must closely work with every part of the internal platform, getting familiar with the intricacies of what it takes to manage daily operations, risk, products, and user experience.
SheCodes is looking to hire a new Content Marketing Specialist. As the SheCodes Content Marketing Specialist, you’ll spend the majority of your time writing and editing content that will be used on the SheCodes website, our promotional content, and our social media. Your content will help convey our company voice, align with our mission and goals, and ensure that all of our students have the best user experience possible. In this role, you will:- Be responsible for creating content for SheCodes and ensuring a consistent voice across all communication channels.
- Collaborate with other teams to create compelling content for social media, websites, emails, landing pages, and other advertising platforms.
- Manage Social Media for all SheCodes accounts, including content creation and interaction management.
- Stay updated on the latest digital trends in the industry and utilize them to enhance our marketing strategies.
- Assist in planning and executing our email marketing strategy.
- Support the implementation of marketing campaigns through email and the preparation of marketing assets.
- Monitor, optimize, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure campaign effectiveness.
- Work closely with other members of the SheCodes team to manage daily tasks and operations.
- Have the opportunity to learn about SheCodes' operations and make a greater impact in the future.
- Content Marketing or similar role.
- Growing and managing large Social Media accounts.
- SEO best practices and experience with keyword research and optimization.
- Is fluent and highly proficient in English.
- Strong writing and editing skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- Has experience with ad creation and copywriting.
- Experience with content management systems and basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
- Comfortable with your computer (you should be able to type fast).
- Comfortable with Slack, Gmail, Calendar, Zoom, Google Docs, and Social media platforms (eg. TikTok, Instagram, Facebook).
- Knowledge of SEO, SEO tools, and e-mail marketing.
- Basic knowledge of Figma or any other design tools.
- Experience with SendGrid, Mailchimp, or other e-mail email delivery services.
