Product Manager

As a Product Manager, you will have responsibility for the product development of a vehicle battery pack, ensuring that activities within both engineering and other internal departments are aligned to the original product vision as well as being the voice-of-the-customer. You will support the management of the complete product lifecycle from planning phase, through to market launch and total life-cycle management. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Liaise with customer to understand needs and translate into product goals and product view from little details to big picture. Create and own the customer requirements / high-level specification. Voice of the product within the engineering dept act as advocate of the customer. Main liaison between engineering and all other parts of organisation with respect to development and delivery of assigned product. Work with project managers, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to devise a plan that meets customer timing & milestones. Work across all departments and suppliers to ensure product remains as customer intent. Operating at the intersection of technology and business / commercial. Make sure team ships a great product and meets customer expectation. Work closely with colleagues to get stuff done through influencing not authority build credibility with team, communicate vision, persuasion. Maintain regular communication with relevant stakeholders, including departments within, Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Commercial and, Finance. Define objectives and OKRs (key results) to communicate most important goals. Essential Experience Degree qualified in technical engineering or business-related degree subject. Proven experience in a Product Management environment with a knowledge of product life-cycle. Significant experience gained in a product lead manufacturing business, managing the full lifecycle of at least one product through to market. A technical understanding of automotive battery systems is required for this role as well as an ability to build rapport and credibility with engineers.. Proven experience "getting stuff done" Battery Systems and/or Systems Engineering background. Automotive experience (OEMN or supplier). Exceptionally IT savvy with a keen eye for detail and an ability to assimilate large chunks of data & product information. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication, leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
