We work collaboratively with researchers to deliver an outstanding service and ensure that a high standard of animal welfare is maintained throughout.
We are seeking applications from candidates who are keen to join a dynamic and motivated team in one of our facilities in Bloomsbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, senior technician to work in a large facility which benefits from some modern features of an animal facility including automated watering. The Animal Technician will work closely with research groups from the Cancer Institute, Wolfson Institute for Biomedical Research and Neuroscience, Pharmacology and Physiology departments among others.
You will be a motivated individual who is looking to work in a senior position, responsible for overseeing and conducting advanced animal care and management activities in a research facility. This role involves the care, handling and monitoring of laboratory animals while ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards. The technician will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and collaborate with researchers on animal-related projects. You must have completed IAT Level 2 and ideally would be working towards or have completed IAT Level 3 qualification. 41 Days holiday (27 days annual leave 8 bank holiday and 6 closure days)
