You will be a self-starter with strong stakeholder management skills who can tailor information to the needs of the audience. Experience of some/all of the following will also help:
- Experience in fibre and copper network design across multiple verticals
- Certifications or demonstrable experience in: CWNA, CCNP, NSE 4-6
- Product knowledge and/or experience in Ruckus, Aruba, Meraki, IO, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Mikrotik, Adtran, Nokia
- Technology knowledge and/or experience in WAN/LAN/WLAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, IP, Firewalls and Security, PON (GPON, XGSPON), IoT (Zigbee, BLE, Lora), Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, VMware, Hypervisor
Location : Hybrid with expectation of office attendance in Birmingham 1-2 days per week
Contract : Full Time, Permanent
Salary : £70,000.00 (depending on experience)

Your role as a Pre-sales Engineer:
Glide’s technology solutions transform the way people live and work and you will be a critical part of that, assisting the sales teams in driving revenue and profit.
A typical day might include:
- Collaborating with multiple stakeholders through the solutions sale cycle.
- Providing technical consultancy/presales support on bids and tenders for sales opportunities.
- Working collaboratively with the Sales Team, attending customer meetings (physical and virtual), and assisting in qualifying the prospective client’s suitability for solution offerings.
- Creating and building high level designs.
- Building Proposals and BoM’s (Bill of Materials) for all solutions.
- Conducting Pre-Sales site surveys and activities where needed.
- Assisting in the creation and review of internal product documentation and technical marketing collateral.
- Supporting the Product & Marketing team on the introduction of new products to market.
- Striving to provide new innovative services and solutions and refinement of the existing portfolio
