This Field Service Technician / Solar Technician / BESS Technician comes with an excellent salary, depending on your experience and at the request of the client, will be discussed upon conversation with Astute. Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Area Manager you will: Ensure the best performance of battery storage and large-scale solar assets Perform operations and maintenance duties across the portfolio of solar and battery sites in the Cambridgeshire and into Suffolk too Ensure adherence to all HSE requirements when completing your duties Test both DC and AC systems, looking for faults and tracing issues Conduct firmware updates and use computer systems to look for issues with the assets Gain Authorised Person status after received training Consistent inspection, maintenance and testing of the systems Looking for trends and using data analysis to see if you can spot any common trends and suggest ways to improve operations as a result Occasional assistance with tasks such as solar panel cleaning, some ground maintenance and site CCTV Occasional working way from your patch/area and be flexible to help when the business needs this Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Level 3 in electrical installations as a minimum 18th edition wiring regs Ideally you will have C&G 2391 or equivalent A HSE qualification is desired Experience within a solar or BESS environment is hugely preferred UK driving licence is essential Personal skills The Solar & BESS Technician role would suit someone who is: Flexible with location and in travelling outside of your patch on occasion Experience liaising with third parties and troubleshooting Experience reading, writing and assessing RAMS is hugely beneficial Someone who wants to learn and make a genuine difference Salary and benefits of the Solar and BESS Technician role A starting salary up to £42,000 depending on experience Bonus, overtime and increased pay for on call rota PPE, toolkit, work van (for business purposes) provided and annual leave INDRENAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
