9.00 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday, i.e. 37.5 hours per week. 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid).

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Greenhous Software Development team to work on our corporate websites. This vacancy is for a remote working Junior Web Developer able to commute to attend quarterly team meetings at our Greenhous Village, High Ercall , plus other meetings as required at our dealerships in the West Midlands.

This is a great opportunity to work in a new team and be part of an internal Software department for an ever-growing business. You will have the opportunity to work on developing new features for the existing applications. Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

What you'll be doing:

Building on a content management system (CMS) you will be responsible for designing, developing and testing bespoke websites that showcase an eye for user experience. This will play a crucial role in helping Greenhous provide better service to our customers and partners.

What we need from you:

  • Completed formal computer science education at level 3 or above.
  • A passion for website design, with a particular eye for user interfaces.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, self-driven and motivated.
  • Ability to analyse user requirements.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and overcome development hurdles using online forums and documentation.
  • Reliable and organised.
  • Career motivation and a willingness to continue to further your knowledge and skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with the following development languages, platforms or design tools:
      • C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
      • Umbraco CMS
      • Figma or similar interface design software
  • Work placement or industrial experience.
  • SEO and website performance optimisation.
  • Experience or interest in the automotive industry.
